What is Li-ft Removal?

Li-FT Removal is a cosmetic tattoo lightening service. It is for clients what have had previous work that is too dark or mishappen or asymmetrical to correct with more cosmetic tattooing services.

Li-FT Removal involves using the tattoo machine and needles to implant a high concentration saline solution into the old cometic tattoo. The healing process begins immediately afterward and involves heavy scabbing and peeling. It is not for the faint of heart or those who wish to be discrete. But it works.

This process may take 3-5 or more session to complete. Each time there may only be slight changes to the final healed color. Sessions are 12 weeks apart. There is no guarantee of any level of lightening or removal because every single client and case is different.

How does it work?

Osmosis : os·mo·sis / noun

1. a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one, thus equalizing the concentrations on each side of the membrane.

The concentration of the LiFT brand saline solution is high enough that when tattooed into an existing tattoo, the saline causes the cells containing the tattoo ink to give up the color they are holding. The pigment then is pushed upward into a scab as the skin is healing and after the scab has sloughed off on its own, the permanent makeup tattoo with have less concentrated pigment.
